Kathryn died alone at Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital when her life support machine was turned off without her parents’ consent. Jean begged medics to switch the machine back on after a consultant turned it off without her permission or that of her husband. Jean told the court that she would have wanted to have a priest and her family there but that her daughter had “died alone.” (Daily Record)
