CDC Course on Advance Care Planning

I took the CDC online course on advance care planning for healthcare professionals.  It is a decent primer.  I was surprised, though, by the representation that instructional advance directives are not so much for the benefit of patients as much as for the benefit of providers (to protect them from liability).
